The following is a 3 April 2012 news release by CBSA. The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) reminds travellers that the Wild Horse port of entry will extend its seasonal hours of operation effective April 5, 2012. The seasonal hours of operation will be from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week, until October 31, 2012, for all traveller and commercial traffic entering Canada or the United States. The Wild Horse port of entry is located 145 km south of Medicine Hat, Alberta, on Highway 41, and 70 km north of Havre, Montana, on Highway 232.

The Export and Import Permits Act (EIPA) requires those who wish to export from Canada any items included on the Export Control List (ECL) to obtain, prior to shipment, an export permit1. Applications to export controlled goods or technology are reviewed on a case-by-case basis to ensure that these exports are consistent with Canada’s foreign and defence policies.
