The 2014 Canadian Business Women in International Trade (BWIT) Newsletter

July 22, 2014

The BWIT newsletter is an annual publication that showcases successful Canadian women exporters, promotes the benefits of exporting and disseminates valuable information regarding the Trade Commissioner Service and other key government programs and services.

The theme of the 2014 Business Women in International Trade newsletter is ‘Opportunities through the Proactive Sectors.’ It includes an opening message from Minister of Trade, Ed Fast, and Minister of Labour/Minister responsible for Status of Women Canada, Kellie Leitch, as well as informative articles on opportunities within the proactive sectors in addition to prospects for accessing the traditional sectors.

Women entrepreneurs are one of the fastest growing segments of the Canadian economy and represent a growing economic force. A recent study by RBC indicated that a 10% rise in women-owned businesses can lead to a $50 billion dollar injection into the Canadian economy. This newsletter is an excellent resource for women entrepreneurs, and it is available both online and in pdf format.
