The 2016 Broiler Hatching Eggs and Chicks Notice to Importers (No. 873) inviting applicants to submit an application for a share of the broiler hatching eggs and chicks tariff rate quota (TRQ) for the period January 1st to December 31st, 2016, is now available on the web at the following address:

There are no policy changes regarding the administration of the Broiler Hatching Eggs and Chicks TRQ for the 2016 allocation year.

An overview of key changes made to the Notice appear below:

• Subsection 9.0 of the Notice, which sets out how to apply for an allocation, has been updated to track language in other Notices to Importers.
• The deadline to submit the 2016 application is December 15, 2015.
• Allocation period: January 1^st to December 31^st, 2016.
• Reference period: October 5, 2014 to October 3, 2015.
