ACE operates at more North Dakota border lanes

This article is excerpted from the 2 February 2007 edition of “American Shipper”.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced the remaining land ports of entry in North Dakota that began testing the Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) electronic trust manifest system [on 31 January].
Several ports in North Dakota already moved to a mandatory e-manifest last month, but most of the northern and southern border is still in a voluntary phase for truckers to file their cargo documents by electronic means rather by paper.
The ACE system will now be available at the ports of St. John, Dunseith, Carbury, Westhope, Antler, Sherwood, Northgate, Portal, Noonan, Ambrose and Fortuna….
