Bush, Fox, Harper Summit Set for End of March

Immigration, trade disputes and concern about the rise in China's economic power will top the agenda at a summit next month between U.S. President George W. Bush, Mexican President Vicente Fox and … Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

Mexico's foreign ministry said on Monday the summit will be held March 30-31 in the Caribbean resort town of Cancun, and will cap a series of meetings between U.S. and Mexican officials on border security and other issues.

Many issues on the table are the same as at last year's meeting between Bush, Fox and Harper's predecessor Paul Martin: Mexico's desire for immigration reform in the United States, trade disputes between the United States and Canada, and concerns among all three governments about the rising economic clout of China and India….
