Come spend an afternoon with the CSCB and sharpen those pencils, it's time to get your geek on!

This is a day just for YOU, with challenging exercises to get your compliance juices flowing, interesting speakers bringing their perspective to todays trade topics, and an opportunity to see old friends and make new ones. We can’t wait to see you again!

This virtual event will take place on Thursday, June 17, 2021, from 1 until 5:00 pm EST.

Designate Day will be facilitated by Michelle Criger, Director Advocacy and Education and Shelley Gares, Senior Advisor Knowledge and Partnerships, and features the following:

  • Opening: Carol West, CSCB President and CEO
  • Brian Staples, Owner, Trade Facilitation Services,  “Unravelling the Mysteries of Trade Agreements”
  • Case studies in groups and pop quizzes on current issues
  • Insight into recent CITT decision(s): Michael Kaylor, Partner, Lapointe Rosenstein Marchand Melançon, L.L.P.
  • Martin Thornell, Senior Advisor, Global Affairs Canada, “CUSMA Rules of Origin for Automotive Goods” and Gabriel Brousseau-Pouliot, Senior Auditor, CBSA, on verification issues related to Regional Value Content
  • Annik Lemoine, Deputy Director, Global Affairs, “Best Practices to Facilitate the Process of Acquiring Permits”
