D17-2-1 Caution re Interim Coding of Adjustment Request Form
On 7 June 2006 a message was sent to members advising of this new interim D-memo. Members should pay particular attention to information in paragraph 7 of this memo. This paragraph advises that if the correct method of moving values between lines is not used, the B2 will be processed as is, that is, it will not be rejected. This means that the corresponding Detailed Adjustment Statement may be issued with interest, and, since there is no provision for a refund of interest for an incorrectly prepared B2, this interest is not recoverable.
