Outage Scheduled for 9 November 2003

The following message is from the Electronic Commerce Unit at CCRA.

Please be advised that there is a planned outage this Sunday, November 9, 2003 for maintenance purposes. Therefore, the Customs EDI system will be unavailable from 1:00 am until 9:00 am (Eastern Standard time). This will impact all EDI applications including: ER, RNS, CUSDEC, CADEX, Marine, Rail and Highway Cargo. No EDI messages will be transferred to or from the CCRA during this outage. Clients are requested to present paper documentation to obtain release of the goods during this outage. Please ensure your weekend team is aware of this outage. We regret the inconvenience and thank you for your cooperation.

During Remembrance Day, Tuesday, November 11, 2003, between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm (ET), three officers will be available at 1-888-957-7224 to deal with urgent matters. Testing clients should hold their inquiries until Wednesday. B3 entries processed and accepted on both Tuesday, November 11 and Wednesday, November 12 will appear on the daily K84 notice generated at the end of business Wednesday. Tuesday, November 11 will not be counted in the calculation of overdue B3 entries. The exchange rates from Tuesday, November 11 through Wednesday, November 12 (inclusive) will remain unchanged.
