SIMA Review Initiated on Amounts of Subsidy of Refined Sugar

On 13 July the CBSA announced initiation of a review respecting the amounts of subsidy of refined sugar, refined from sugar cane or sugar beets, in granulated, liquid and powdered form, originating in or exported from the European Union. The review is part of the CBSA enforcement of the CITT’s order of 3 November 2000, which re-affirmed, with amendment, the finding of 6 November 1995.

A Customs Notice concerning Refined Sugar from the European Union will be available soon on the CBSA web site, at http://www.cbsa.gc.ca.
