Trade Compliance Verification Priorities on CBSA Website

January 7, 2015

The following was sent by CBSA. The January verification priorities and respective results are now available on CBSA’s website.

The Trade Compliance Division is pleased to announce that the list of its active trade compliance verification priorities is now available on the CBSA’s website in the "Import and Export" section, under “Facilitating Trade”. Once there, please click on the link “Trade Compliance Verifications” located in the box on the top right-hand side of the page.

The CBSA strives to distribute the information on trade compliance verification priorities to the public on a semi annual basis (i.e. no later than January 7th and July 7th of each year).  Therefore, the next update to the list of verification priorities will be included on the CBSA’s website by January 7, 2015.  Stakeholders are now encouraged to refer to the CBSA website directly in order to view the latest update to the list of its active trade compliance verification priorities on a semi-annual basis, as email notices will no longer be issued.

To further enhance the information, a short description of each trade compliance verification priority and their respective results have also been made available at the same location on the CBSA website.  Please click on the individual verification priority in order to have access to that information.

If you have any questions regarding this matter, please do not hesitate to send a message to the Trade Compliance and Quality Assurance Unit at the following email address: [email protected].
