PC 1998-901 authorizes the Minister of Foreign Affairs to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, an Agreement between the Government of Canada and the European Community on Sanitary Measures Applicable to Trade in Live Animals and Animal Products, or to execute and issue an Instrument of Full Powers authorizing ... an Agreement between the Government of Canada and the European Community on Sanitary Measures Applicable to Trade in Live Animals and Animal Products; and the Minister of Foreign Affairs to take the action necessary to bring the Agreement into force for Canada.

PC 1998-906 is the Crane Vessel "S7000" Remission Order.

1. Subject to section 3, remission is hereby granted of the duties paid or payable on the 1/120th basis under the Vessel Duties Reduction or Removal Regulations for the temporary importation of the crane vessel "S7000" during the period beginning on 1 March 1998 and ending on 31 December 1999.

2. The remission is granted pursuant to section 1 on the condition that:

(a) the crane vessel is used in the activities associated with the Sable offshore energy project; and

(b) a claim for remission is made to the Minister of National Revenue prior to 31 December 2000.

3. This Order came into force on 28 May 1998.

PC 1998-904 is the Armani Gabardine In-Transit Remission Order.

1. In this Order, "specified fabrics" means five=harness satin weave fabrics, containing 65 per cent by weight of polyester staple fibres and 35 per cent by weight of viscose rayon staple fibres, with a twist exceeding 1000 turns per metre, of a weight of 255 g/m2 or more but not exceeding 275 g/m2 of tariff item No. 5515.11.90.

2. Subject to section 3, remission is hereby granted of the customs duties paid or payable under the Customs Tariff on specified fabrics.

3. The remission is granted pursuant to section 1 on the condition that:

(a) the specified fabrics are used in the manufacture of women's waistcoats (vests), trousers, skirts, dresses, shorts, jackets or blazers and men's waistcoats (vests), trousers, jackets or blazers;

(b) the specified fabrics were ordered and in-transit to Canada on or before 30 April 1998; and

(c) a claim for remission is made to the Minister of National Revenue within two years of the date of importation.

4. This Order came into force on 28 May 1998.

PC 1998-960 is the Order Amending The Order Respecting The Remission of a Portion of The Customs Duties and Excise Taxes on Imports of Certain Woollen Fabrics

1. Paragraph 5(d) of the Order Respecting the Remission of a Portion of the Customs Duties and Excise Taxes on Imports of Certain Woollen Fabrics is replaced by the following:

(d)subject to section 7, the goods are shipped directly to Canada, with or without transhipment, from a Commonwealth country.

2. Section 7 of the Order is replaced by the following:

7. Notwithstanding paragraph 5(d), goods that originate in Lesotho, Botswana or Swaziland are deemed to be shipped directly to Canada from the country in which they originate if they are shipped directly on a through bill of lading from South Africa to a consignee in Canada with or without transhipment.

3. Section 8 of the Order is repealed.

4. This Order came into force on 4 June 1998.

PC 1998-961 is the Order Amending The Remission Order Respecting Imports of Goods Originating in Commonwealth Developing Countries.

1. Paragraph 4(1)(d) of the Remission Order Respecting Imports of Goods Originating in Commonwealth Developing Countries is replaced by the following:

(d) subject to section 5, the goods are shipped directly to Canada, with or without transhipment, from a Commonwealth developing country; and

2. Section 5 of the Order is replaced by the following:
