Two Port Processing

The following message is from Revenue Canada.

Effective immediately, when a shipment arrives at a border location that is different than the intended
border office of arrival, Customs will correct the EDI PARS information to reflect the actual office of release. This process could be performed at the Primary Inspection Line (PIL) where possible. Otherwise, the driver
would be referred to the longroom for additional processing. Where the shipment arrives at an inland location in-bond and it is determined that the client submitted an EDI PARS for another location (including a border office), the client could either request customs to change the office code (during normal business hours
within the same region) or could submit an EDI change to the PARS data to correct the office code. When a shipment arrives at a border location and a EDI PARS has been processed inland, customs at the border will not change EDI PARS to reflect the border location office code.
