Tariff Amendment T99-2
The following information is from Mr. Tom MacDonald, Acting Manager, Specialty Publications, Trade Incentive Programs at Revenue Canada.
Tariff amendment T99-2, the second amendment package for the 1999 Departmental Consolidation of the Customs Tariff has been produced and is now at the printers. This package includes amendments made pursuant to:
- Order in Council PC 1999-444, dated 18 March 1999
- Technical Amendments Order (Customs Tariff) 1999-1, SOR.99-132, dated 16 March 1999, and
- Technical Amendments Regulations (Customs Tariff) 1999-1, SOR/99-133, dated 16 March 1999.
It also includes some amendments to the statistical suffixes.
The amendments contained in the above orders have a variety of effective dates. For the specific date for each amendment, reference should be made to the orders or to the amended pages of the Consolidation.
An electronic version of the changes (in MS Access) is now available on the Revenue Canada web site. The file may be accessed as follows:

Any amendments in this package not currently available will be placed into the files of the Customs Commercial System on 20 May 1999.
