D Memorandum D10-14-30

Tariff Classification of Natural Medicinal Preparations as Medicaments

This memorandum replaced D Memorandum D10-14-30. Paragraph 7 has been amended to reflect the CBSA’s revised policy that allows throat pastilles or cough drops, containing flavouring agents with medicinal properties, to be classified as medicaments in heading 30.40.

This revision is in accordance with the CITT decision of 9 October 2003 (Appeal Nos. AP-2002-38 to AP-2002-090), concerning Pfizer Canada Inc.
