Shutdown Message of 22 September 2005

The following message is from the Electronic Commerce Unit at the CBSA.

The problem that resulted in yesterday's premature shut down of the CADEX and CUSDEC B3 systems has been resolved.

All EDI systems are now functioning normally.

B3 transactions which were due yesterday (Thursday, September 22, 2005), but could not be transmitted and accepted by the system before the shut down, should be transmitted and accepted today (Friday, September 23, 2005). If those transactions are accepted today, clients will not need to apply for a formal waiver of any late accounting penalties.

Thank you again for your cooperation.
