Another Fraudulent Scam

We have received the following information from a member concerning attempted bank fraud.

"I have received today from our bank, a copy of a fraudulent letter requesting a bank transfer from our account to a company called:

Artec Design Limited
1-8-2-501 Nishitsuruma Yamato-City

The bank name is:

Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi UFJ Limited
Aobadai Branch, (Branch no. 728), Japan

There was a bad attempt to re-create our letterhead but the signature is either a copy or a very good forgery of my own. Fortunately our bank manager called to verify it as we normally do on-line electronic transfers. It is likely most banks practice the precaution of calling first. However, just in case, members may want to discuss this with their bankers."
