C-Type Entries

With the elimination of generic carrier code 77YY, members have seen a tremendous increase in the number of C-type entries. And, as a result, we have had several members report an increase in the number of late accounting penalties due to C-type entries either being keyed incorrectly, late, or not at all.

The following is from the 14 July 2011 edition of the “American Shipper”. U.S. import shipment volume for June decreased 7.4 percent from the same month in 2010, trade intelligence firm Zepol Corp. said Wednesday.

Monthly Survey of Manufacturing

The following is excerpted from a 15 July 2011 release by Statistics Canada. Manufacturing sales declined 0.8% (-$360 million) to $46.0 billion in May. Sales have remained relatively flat since January 2011.
