Use of the Broker's Business Number

The CSCB has corresponded at length with CBSA regarding liability on the part of a customs broker when he uses his Business Number (BN) to release and account for goods when he is not the importer. The requirement for brokers to use their BN in certain circumstances in found in Customs Notice 07-036.
