CBSA Message: April Monthly K84 Statements

Although payment for April’s monthly K84 statements will be due as usual on April 29, 2011, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) realizes that some months have fewer days to arrange for payment, creating a challenge for clients. Therefore, the CBSA will not issue a late payment penalty or charge interest if the payment is received after April 29, 2011, but on May 2, 2011 before 16:30 local time.

Use of the Broker's Business Number - Update

On March 7th, members were sent a message regarding use of the broker’s Business Number (BN). This message, from CBSA, clarified CBSA’s policy on when a broker’s BN can be used to process non-commercial (casual) goods through the commercial stream.
