Lamy cautions against weakening the WTO

Director-General Pascal Lamy, in a speech to the Annual Session of the Parliamentary Conference on the WTO at the WTO headquarters on 22 March 2011, said: “In the current turbulent times, the WTO must act as a catalyst of trust and global unity through the conclusion of the Doha Round. It must make a contribution to a more stable world. A WTO in crisis is not what is expected of responsible members of the international community.

Seaway traffic to rise 7% in 2011

In Memoriam - Morris Levine

The CSCB is saddened to report the passing of Morris Levine, of Bensol Customs Brokers. Morris began as a bookkeeper at the age of 19 and worked his entire 55 year customs brokerage career at the same company. During the 1970s Morris was very active on the Montreal division Board of Directors and handled the education portfolio. He was a DCCHBA member and founding corporate member of the CACB, CICB, CSCB, and was also a CCS designate prior to retirement.
