The Government of Canada invests in Montreal bridges

The following news release was issued by Transport Canada on 18 March 2011. Senator Larry Smith, on behalf of the Honourable Chuck Strahl, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities, today announced funding of $228 million to the Jacques Cartier and Champlain Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) to keep its bridges and other assets in Montreal safe.

Interest rates for the second calendar quarter

The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) today announced the prescribed annual interest rates that will apply to any amounts owed to the CRA and to any amounts the CRA owes to individuals and corporations. These rates are calculated quarterly in accordance with applicable legislation and will be in effect from April 1, 2011 to June 30, 2011.
