The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) announced the prescribed annual interest rates that will apply to any amounts owed to the CRA and to any amounts the CRA owes to individuals and corporations. These rates are calculated quarterly in accordance with applicable legislation and will be in effect from January 1, 2011 to March 31, 2011. The CBSA has provided an update on Customs Controlled Areas (CCAs). The establishment of CCAs will allow CBSA officers to question, examine, and search people and goods within a CCA, including workers within a CCA who would not otherwise have to present themselves to the CBSA. The intent of a CCA is to strengthen security at Canada's airports and marine terminals. CBSA’s update is available here.

This RoDD is available on the Advocacy section of the CSCB website; login is required.
