CSCB Partners with CCC to Promote Border Efficiency

In early 2010, the CSCB was approached by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce with a request to partner with them on a document project, now titled “Strengthening Our Ties: Four Steps Toward a More Successful Canada-U.S. Partnership”. The CSCB Board of Directors considered the request and decided to accept this offer, signing on as a “pillar sponsor”. Customs Controlled Areas

The CBSA has provided an update on Customs Controlled Areas (CCAs). The establishment of CCAs will allow CBSA officers to question, examine, and search people and goods within a CCA, including workers within a CCA who would not otherwise have to present themselves to the CBSA. The intent of a CCA is to strengthen security at Canada's airports and marine terminals. CBSA’s update is available here.
