Omissions in the CAED2012 V12.00 Harmonized System (HS) Library have been detected. To rectify these omissions, Statistics Canada will release a new version of CAED2012 by January 20th, 2012. The following is a 10 January 2012 notice from Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada. Canada and Cameroon have agreed to begin negotiations towards a Foreign Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement (FIPA). The parties have pledged to work together to conclude an agreement in a timely manner. The first round of negotiations took place in November 2011 in Ottawa.

Congratulations to the students who successfully completed the CCS (Certified Customs Specialist) course and are now entitled to use the CCS designation. The passing grade for the CCS course is 65%. The final grade is based on the results of the final examination plus the results of four tests taken throughout the year. The average grade of the 2010-11 CCS course was 73%, and the mark that occurred the most was 63%. The highest grade was 95%, with 2 students achieving this mark. The following students received the highest marks – well done!
