Government of Canada Introduces Safe Food for Canadians Act

The following is excerpted from a 7 June 2012 news release by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency. The Harper Government introduced the Safe Food for Canadians Act today. The Safe Food for Canadians Act will strengthen the Government’s ability to protect Canadian families from potentially unsafe food.

More than half of Canadian exporters plan to expand in new markets in next two years
