On October 16, 2010 the Proposed Order to Amend the Automatic Firearms Country Control List (AFCCL) was published in the Canada Gazette, Part I.

The CFIA has provided the following information regarding goods of chapters 07 and 08. 1. Attestation of Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) federal produce licence number or Dispute Resolution Corporation (DRC) membership number Under the Licensing and Arbitration Regulations, Canadian purchasers of fresh fruit and vegetables are required to be licensed with the CFIA and/or be a member of the DRC, if they are not exempt from the Regulations.

CBSA Service at Calgary and Edmonton Airports

At this year’s CSCB national conference, members brought to CBSA’s attention the fact that goods arriving at certain airports on weekends are often not released until Monday morning. The issue was directed to CBSA Acting Vice-President, Cathy Munro, who spoke at the conference on CBSA’s Service Commitment. As a result, CBSA has provided the following procedure to be followed for air shipments destined for Calgary or Edmonton that are not released in a timely fashion.
