B2 Processing Statistics

CBSA has provided national B2 processing statistics for April 2010 - June 2010, the first quarter of 2010-2011. These statistics are available at: http://www.cscb.ca/listinfo/National_B2_Processing_Chart_en.pdf As was done previously, CBSA has provided the number of B2s in inventory. Three regions - Quebec, GTA and Prairies - all show in increase of the number of claims in inventory compared to the last quarter of last year.

Ground transportation costs continue rise in May

The following is excerpted from the August 6th, 2010 edition of Canadian Transportation and Logistics ”ctl.ca”. The cost of ground transportation for Canadian shippers continued to increase in May, according to reports published this week by the Canadian General Freight Index. Overall freight costs increased by 3% in May when compared to April. Base rates, which exclude the impact of fuel surcharges assessed by carriers, also increased by 2.7% with average fuel surcharges increasing by 2.9% from the prior month.

CPR Customer Bulletin: Update - Mainline Outage Airdrie, Alberta
