The following is to inform you that the Canadian Food Inspection Agency’s (CFIA) Meat Import Control and Data Information Centre (MICDIC) is moving on Saturday July 31st and Sunday August 1st. Service is expected to resume as scheduled on Monday, August 2, 2010. MICDIC provides meat pre-clearance for US origin meat. Bulletin on Developing Standards

Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) is following up on its stated intent to address compliance verification requirements for general service lamps before the 2012 minimum energy performance standards (MEPS) come into effect. They are proposing that general service lamps be third party energy efficiency verified when they become subject to their respective 2012 MEPS.
